Our services provide insights and reports to courts, attorneys, agencies, and individuals to assist and inform their decision-making process. We conduct psychiatric evaluations in-person, virtually (telehealth), and in correctional facilities to assist in criminal and civil legal proceedings. Dr. Diana Riccioli is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and Forensic Psychiatry. After graduating with her Medical Degree from the University of Bologna Medical School, she completed her internship at Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ). Dr. Riccioli completed her Psychiatry residency at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center and her fellowship in forensics at NYU Medical Center. She holds a Medical License in New Jersey where she has been in private practice, testifying in court, and giving depositions for 30 years.
During her residency, Dr. Riccioli conducted research on trauma which won two awards. The culmination of her continued work towards helping those healing from trauma was actualized in 2024 when Ramapo Ridge Behavioral Health opened their unit “Haven” for inpatient trauma-informed care and services. In addition, she worked with law enforcement at the Bergen County Jail as Chief Psychiatrist for 15 years, during which time she oversaw the implementation of Suboxone for treating substance abuse.
